All our bamboo products are treated with a varnish providing a good coating on the surface of the product, giving it a soft sheen finish and protecting it from moisture. In saying that, as it is a natural product, the bamboo should not be washed or be left wet for a long period of time. We recommend wiping away any spills or leaks as soon as possible to avoid staining or discolouration.
DO NOT submerge bamboo in water. Only wipe with damp cloth then dry with a tea towel.
If your products do go mouldy, to clean use distilled vinegar to rub off the mould and leave it to sit for an hour. Wipe the area clean with water and allow surface to dry.
